Joyful testimony

The Church of England - - CHURCH OF ENGLAND - J Longstaff, Woodford Green, Essex

Sir, Baroness Thatcher’s funeral service was a joyful testimony of someone who knew who she was in God, the fullness of life she enjoyed and the moral and spiritual foundation for her personal and political efforts. What tremendous readings and hymns. It was a shame that so many dignitaries and politicians attending the service did not display that same joy and confidence, but at times showed boredom and disinterest. Oh that the same depth of faith was the foundation of our present leaders to help the nation address the problems of today’s society.
