Charismatic leader dies
ONE OF THE founders of the Charismatic Renewal Movement in the United States, the Rev Everett “Terry” Fullam, has died at the age of 83, reports the Bishop of Central Florida.
In a 15 March 2014 Tweet to his diocese, the Rt Rev Gregory O Brewer wrote: “Just heard that Terry Fullam passed away. A generation ago he was a hero.”
Trained as a musician, Terry Fullam was educated at Gordon College and Harvard University and was ordained in 1967 by the Bishop of Rhode Island after studying privately for holy orders. In 1972 he was appointed Rector of St Paul’s in Darien, Connecticut.
During his tenure at St Paul’s, (1972-1989) the parish saw significant revival.
