New network tackles trafficking

The Church of England - - NEWS -

The Church of England has launched a new network of champions to combat human trafficking.

The first diocesan training and awareness day, attended by 30 dioceses as well as representatives of other faiths, was hosted at Lambeth Palace so representatives could raise awareness for modern day slavery in their community.

The Bishop of Derby, Dr Alastair Redfern, said: “The key to tackling modern day slavery is through building partnerships and creating networks.”
