Fife nurse Frank Frame began his latest mercy mission to Romania carrying medical supplies, clothing and food at the weekend. The mini convoy of three, seven tonne lorries left Kirkcaldy shortly after 8am on Saturday, bound on the 8,000mile 14-day round trip, headed for the Bucharest area. For Frank, who lives in the Saucherbush area of Kirkcaldy, the path to Romania is becoming all too familiar – this is the eighth time he has undertaken the marathon haul to Eastern Europe.
