Lorna raises more than £7,000 for good causes after tragedy

-

A Stonehaven bar owner has raised more than £7,000 for good causes, after being spurred on to help others after her husband died of cancer.

Lorna Anderson has now raised £81,000 in the past eight years. Along with her husband Mark, she raised thousands for Aberdeen Royal Infirmary’s maxillo-facial unit before he died in 2014.

In his memory, Mrs Anderson, who runs the Market Bar, continued generating money for the centre.

This year, she wanted to give something back to Stonehaven itself.

The money was distributed to Stonehaven RNLI, Stonehaven Dialysis Unit, the town’s first responders and Lions Club.
