FORFAR: Bank of Scotland will be joined by Oor Wullie the Mechanic at the West High Street branch until Friday.

People are being invited to get their photo taken with the sculpture and leave a donation for Kirriemuir Relay for Life team, Walk it Like It’s Hot.

BRECHIN: Newtonmill House by Brechin is opening its gardens on Sunday from 2-5pm.

Newtonmill House looks over and into the semi-formal walled garden.

The entrance into the garden is through a wrought iron gate that reflects the mill wheel from which Newtonmill derives its name.

Admission is £4 with accompanied children free and the money raised will go to RNLI Montrose and Ladies Branch and Scotland Gardens designated charities.

CHARITY: In the aftermath of the Grenfell Tower fire, Voluntary Action Angus has been asked to act as a point of contact for anyone wishing to make a donation.

Anyone wishing to make a donation can do so at either of our offices in Forfar or Arbroath or directly through the Kensington and Chelsea Foundation https://thekandc foundation.com/donate/.

Development worker Carol Torrance said it would be great if the people of Angus could show their compassion and support those affected by this tragedy by donating if they can.
