Bayview role for McMinn

New East Fife manager Darren Young is set to turn to former Albion Rovers coach Tony McMinn to plug the gap caused by Billy Stark’s move to East Kilbride.

McMinn worked at the Coatbridge club throughout Young’s three-year tenure that ended last month and Young is looking to promote him to a deputy role after Stark opted to return to management at the Lowland League Champions.

Young said: “Billy has decided to move on but I knew that was a possibility when I took on the East Fife job.

“Tony is someone I know well and he knows how I work so it could be a straightforward move.”
