Man assaulted in home

A man has been assaulted by an intruder who broke into his home before stealing his car.

The attack happened in the early hours of Tuesday in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire.

The suspect then stole the keys to his white Audi A6 car and drove off. The man, 46, was treated at Monklands Hospital for injuries to his face and body before being released.
