During a debate on the censorship in the Reichstag on October 11, Herr Mueller said: “The Chancellor wants to lead, but we are reminded of the worst times of the old Roman Empire of Germany. We are suffocating under a heap of official paper prescriptions, of mock justice, injustice and arbitrariness. The feeling of confidence is ruined by the way the state of seige is exercised. Homogeneity is lacking in the Imperial leadership and in the higher military leadership.”
