The sun came out to welcome the luxury liner QE2 on her first-ever visit to the River Forth yesterday. The ship emerged from the earlymorning mist which shrouded the Forth, arriving alongside the BP Hound Point terminal – one mile east of the Forth Road Bridge – at 10am. The visit was plain sailing all the way – except, perhaps, for anyone wishing to drive along the coast roads on both sides of the river. More than 1,400 passengers made use of the Forth call to visit the Edinburgh area.
