The Courier & Advertiser (Angus and The Mearns Edition) - - COMMENT -

Gavin Hastings, Scottish captain of the British Lions, admitted that tears were shed in the dressing room after the last-minute 20-18 defeat by New Zealand in the first rugby test in Christchurch. The Lions believe they were robbed by first and last-minute decisions from Australian referee Brian Kinsey which gifted New Zealand eight points. Hastings added: “The huge disappointment of the 15 players was obvious when the dressing room was totally quiet for 30 minutes after the match.”
