The Courier & Advertiser (Angus and The Mearns Edition) - - NEWS -

Apple could unveil as many as three new iphone handsets this week as the technology giant looks to expand its range of smartphones.

The technology giant is reportedly set to introduce two updated versions of the iphone X – including a larger Plusstyle phone – alongside a cheaper version of the device, complete with the all-screen front panel and Face ID technology.

Industry experts are also predicting a fourthgeneration Apple Watch will be introduced during the event, which is taking place at the firm’s Apple Park campus in California tomorrow.

Ru Bhikha, mobiles expert at uswitch.com said the company’s expected expansion of the iphone line-up was a decision designed to turn the heads of rival smartphone users. He said: “Apple’s decision to launch three iphone devices this week is a strategic move to regain footing in multiple areas of the mobile market.”

Samsung and Huawei, who along with Apple make up the top three phone makers by market share, have already launched critically acclaimed flagship smartphones this year, placing more pressure on Apple to deliver with its latest iphone.
