One woman died and four other people were injured yesterday as two high-rise blocks of flats were demolished in a massive explosion which rocked the Gorbals area of Glasgow. The woman who died was first thought to have suffered a heart attack after a series of explosions ripped through the 22-storey blocks in Elizabeth Square. But later police said that chest injuries suffered by Helen Tinney may have been caused by flying debris from the explosion. A 21-year-old pregnant woman also fainted.
