Highland games on the beach
Muscleman Neil Binnington has his kilt ready for the world’s only beach Highland games.
He was kitted out in full Highland dress as organisers prepare to make Kirkcaldy’s sands the arena for traditional events including caber tossing, piping and dancing.
Bodybuilder Neil will be among the competitors in the heavy events on Saturday June 10.
Kirkcaldy Beach Highland Games are to be staged for the third year, hosted by local Business Improvement District, Kirkcaldy 4 All.
Hundreds of spectators are expected to line the Esplanade to watch the action which will begin at 9.30am with a parade led by Leven and District Pipe Band.
A full programme of Highland dancing, athletics, heavy events, a tug-of-war and children’s races will run until 1.30pm.
