The Courier & Advertiser (Dundee Edition) - - NEWS -

A woman escaped serious injury following a two-vehicle collision in Dundee yesterday afternoon.

The incident, involving a Vauxhall Astra and a Renault Captur, occurred on Riverside Avenue near the turnoff to Invergowrie just after 2pm.

The Captur suffered extensive damage in the collision but the Astra was relatively unscathed.

It understood fuel spilled onto the road as a result of the collision.

An ambulance was called to assist the woman who was said to be in shock but was not thought to be seriously hurt.

Traffic heading into Dundee was delayed.

Scottish Fire and Rescue also attended to help make the damaged vehicle safe.
