Accident closes A9 in Perthshire
The A9 was closed in both directions for more than an hour due to an accident near the Hermitage, Dunkeld, yesterday.
The accident, which happened shortly after 2pm, initially closed both northbound and southbound carriageways.
At 3.15pm Traffic Scotland said that the southbound carriageway had reopened, and the northbound lane was cleared by 3.50pm.
Police Scotland said three cars were involved.
They confirmed that one person was injured though the extent of their injuries was not known.
The fire and rescue service said they were not involved in the incident but there was considerable debris on the road which required to be removed before the route was fully reopened.
Traffic was diverted away from the scene and there were some delays to motorists.
