Man charged with spit­ting and try­ing to bite po­lice of­fi­cer

A 34-year-old man has been ac­cused of claim­ing he had an in­fec­tious dis­ease and spit­ting at a po­lice of­fi­cer.

Alis­tair Hill is also al­leged to have at­tempted to bite the of­fi­cer on Septem­ber 26 at po­lice head­quar­ters on Bell Street, while he was on bail.

Hill, of Ab­bots­ford Street, Dundee, had his case con­tin­ued with­out plea un­til Fe­bru­ary 2.

Mean­while, in a sep­a­rate case at Dundee Sher­iff Court, Ni­cole In­gram de­nied shout­ing, swear­ing, knock­ing con­fec­tionery onto the floor and ut­ter­ing racially of­fen­sive re­marks at the Best One Store on Fin­try Road on Fe­bru­ary 6.

In­gram, 25, of Fin­low Ter­race, will stand trial on April 18.
