Ripping good idea

-

One of the older Craigie readers has never reconciled himself to the fashion whereby wearers of jeans have them pre-ripped in the area of the knee.

But he is hoping to benefit if he can create a follow-up to this, featuring the necks of jumpers.

He explained: “Recently I bought three pullovers, of a reputable make from a respectable department store, and the stitching at the v-neck on two out of the three ripped the first time I wore them. It goes without saying that I have lost the receipts.

“But if I can convince the world that torn necks on jumpers are fashionable, it will mean I can get the good of the garments.”

He concludes that if any Craigie readers have similar jumpers, perfectly good in every way but one, and reserved only for light gardening duties, perhaps they can get together to hold some sort of event to launch the new fashion.
