Bake off Martha backs charity

-

Fifers are being encouraged to dust down their rolling pins this month to help some of the poorest people around the world.

Martha Collison, who appeared on hit television show The Great British Bake Off in 2014, was in Scotland this week to launch Tearfund’s annual Big Bake.

The Tearfund charity is urging people to hold bake sales to tackle hunger.

Martha said: “Everyone loves a good cake sale, and Big Bake is a great opportunity to do something fun and make a difference at the same time.

“Money raised from Big Bake this year will help Tearfund provide nutritious meals for children in communities devastated by drought.

“I hope many people in Fife will roll up their sleeves and join us in baking an impact where it is needed most.”
