Sales up at Hotel Chocolat

-

Consumer demand for ‘hedonistic chocolate’ has helped drive up sales and profits at Hotel Chocolat.

The firm, with businesses in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen, said it is gearing up for its best ever Christmas.

The luxury chocolate chain’s sales rose 12% to £91.1 million in the year to June 26. Pre-tax profits rose from £2.9m to £8.2m.

Sweet treats with less sugar were proving popular.
