Musical items take a prominent part at the King’s Theatre, pride of place on the programme being shared by Tucker, the original singing violinist, and Franco Piper, the expert banjoist. Tucker’s contribution is very entertaining. He plays very skilfully and his vocal interpolations are neat and tuneful. He was very warmly received last night. Franco Piper is not only a cultured musician, but as a trick player of the banjo, or rather a collection of banjos, he challenges comparison.
