Drop-in event to show­case £4.5m af­ford­able hous­ing de­vel­op­ment

A £4.5 mil­lion af­ford­able hous­ing de­vel­op­ment has been ear­marked for a site at Aber­dour Road in Dun­fermline.

King­dom Hous­ing As­so­ci­a­tion, to­gether with Cur­tis Jones Prop­erty De­vel­op­ments, has an­nounced its in­ten­tion to ap­ply for plan­ning per­mis­sion for 42 flats for mid-mar­ket af­ford­able rent in the com­ing weeks.

As part of pub­lic con­sul­ta­tion, a drop-in event will be held at Our Lady of Lour­des Church in Aber­dour Road on Wed­nes­day, from 3.30pm to 7.15pm.

Bill Banks, chief ex­ec­u­tive at King­dom, said: “There is a con­tin­u­ing need to build af­ford­able homes in Dun­fermline and we be­lieve the op­por­tu­nity for lo­cal peo­ple to ac­cess high-qual­ity hous­ing at an af­ford­able rent will prove very pop­u­lar.”
