“As one of the residents of Birkhill Sheltered Housing,” writes Audrey Robertson, “I would like to thank the large group of volunteers who cleared the snow from our cul-de-sac, pavements and car bays to allow people to help residents get some shopping.

“It has also come to my attention that they also cleared the school around Dronley Road, Birkhill. We were all very grateful.”
