Arty pupils draw on their visit to company for winning inspiration
Two Fife primary schools have taken part in an art competition organised by BAE Systems.
Twenty pupils from Dalgety Bay and Donnibristle primaries were asked to draw posters that would reflect what they saw during a behind-the-scenes tour of the firm’s Hillend facilities.
The submissions were judged by BAE Systems employees, who declared Rebecca Dorey from Dalgety Bay and Iona Beutenmuller from Donibristle the winners. They each received a £25 book token.
Katie Reid, principal teacher at Dalgety Bay, said: “From the initial presentations to the tour round the workshop, it was very relevant for our work around developing our young workforce.”
