Lifeboat crew called to blow up bed float­ing in Firth of Forth

Kinghorn’s RNLI lifeboat crew was called out to a per­son float­ing on an air bed.

The crew was tasked with in­ves­ti­gat­ing a tent sur­rounded by wa­ter near Star­ley­burn at around 6.30am on Thurs­day.

On ar­rival it was es­tab­lished a per­son had been camp­ing to see the blood moon and had been in the wa­ter but was not in dif­fi­culty.

At 8.55pm that evening, the crew re­sponded to two peo­ple in the wa­ter at Port Se­ton, although the pair had got out safely and the lifeboat was stood down.
