Fatal fall climber named

A climber who died in hospital after being rescued in the Cairngorms has been named by police.

Police Scotland identified the man as Owen Griffiths, 25, of Evesham, Worcestershire.

Mr Griffiths fell while climbing in the Coire an t-Sneachda area on Tuesday.

He was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by a coastguard helicopter but later died.
