Woman’s lucky escape after being hit by bus

A young woman has been hit by a bus in a late-night road accident in an Angus town.

Emergency services rushed to Forfar following reports that the woman had been knocked over on Saturday night.

She was taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital and police said she was not seriously hurt.

A police spokeesman said: “At 11.05pm a young woman was hit by a bus in Glamis Road, Forfar.

“It looked like she didn’t look up and stepped into the road, purely accidentally. She was taken to Ninewells an hour later but was not seriously injured.”
