Moyer signing coup for Flyers

Fife Flyers boss Jeff Hutchins yesterday explained why the club were so keen to add Russ Moyer to their squad for another season.

Canadian-born Moyer, 34, the former Sheffield Steelers defenceman, was influential last term, icing in all 62 games.

Hutchins said: “Russ was one of our most consistent players last year and he played a lot of minutes for us in all key situations.

“He is a model professional and well respected by his teammates. Russ typifies the type of player we aim to bring to Fife for the coming season.”
