The search to find the UK’s community heroes is drawing ever closer as voting on all the nominations received is now open to the public.

Pork pie makers, Pork Farms has launched a nationwide search to find local community heroes; those people who go above and beyond in their acts of kindness and are now calling on people from across the UK to help decide who should reach the top 25.

Michael Holton, brand and marketing manager at Pork Farms said: “We’ve had the pleasure of receiving some fantastic nominations from ardent fundraisers and community groups giving up their time to better a local cause to the many people who give up their own time to care for others in some quite remarkable stories and we simply need help from the public in narrowing this down before the top five winners are chosen by a panel.

“We would like to urge the public to spend some time reading the nominations and pledge their vote on who they feel is the most deserving unsung hero. We would then like to surprise them with a party for themselves, their friends and family
