Memories project rolled out

A new scheme encouraging people to come together and share memories of films and trips to the cinema has been launched in a Perthshire town.

The Screen Memories project is led by Saints in the Community and held its first gathering in the Birks Cinema, Aberfeldy.

Movie fans enjoyed a free tea party during the session and traded stories of favourite films in the venue’s café.

The St Johnstone community trust team is planning to hold a programme of Screen Memories gatherings across the area.

The free sessions are geared at helping people of all ages benefit from social interaction by reviving recollections of outings from the past.
