Sir David continues to make a splash

The latest episode of Blue Planet II has been the most successful of the series so far, as the audience grew to nearly 11 million viewers.

Sir David Attenborou­gh’s wildlife series returned to screens on Sunday night for the third instalment and it attracted an average audience of 10.9 million viewers.

The hour-long BBC1 broadcast about coral reefs peaked at 11.3 million viewers and had a 44.6% audience share.

This comes after the first episode of the series was found to be the most-watched programme of 2017 with 14.01 million viewers when also accounting for those who recorded the programme.
