Police attend site after reports of hare coursing late at night

Police were called to the site of alleged hare coursing on land to the north of Perth.

Officers went to an area between Luncarty and Stanley around 11pm on Wednesday, following reports that the crime was taking place along with claims of several vehicles being spotted in the vicinity.

A police spokespers­on said: “Officers attended the area between Luncarty and Stanley in response to reports of potential hare coursing.

“Inquiries were made with persons traced at the scene, and while no evidence of hare coursing was found, one man was given a fixed penalty ticket in relation to issues with his vehicle.”
