Wounded United have Pars in sights

Tangerines defender looks to help bounce back from bad defeat with full focus on visit to East End Park

- Ian roache

Dundee United defender Mark Durnan is just as determined to turn in a winning performance against Dunfermline at East End Park today as those who were on the park for the 6-1 loss to Falkirk.

Sidelined seven days ago, Durnan, who is expected to return from an ankle injury to face the Pars in the Championship’s game-of-the-day, said: “The only way you can react from a disappointing result like that is to come back and win.

“So our full focus is obviously on Dunfermline to make sure we rectify that.

“We must improve and put on a much better performance than we did against Falkirk. The determination needs to be there. At the moment, it’s still raw and it was a difficult one for the boys to take.

“I’m pretty sure they are still hurting, like the supporters and everyone at the club.

“It was a difficult one but you have to bounce back in the next game so we will look to win and hope that builds the momentum.” Full preview in TheSport
