SCONE

A quiz night will be held at the Robert Dou­glas Memo­rial In­sti­tute in Scone to raise money for the build­ing.

It will take place on Fri­day Oc­to­ber 29 from 7.30pm.

It is a chance for lo­cals to go in­side the cen­tre af­ter months of clo­sures and see the re­painted hall.

The quiz is £3 per head and all are wel­come.

PERTH

An event will be held in a Perth church to cel­e­brate the songs of the Rev Leith Fisher.

Lo­cals will get the op­por­tu­nity to sing from a new hymn book from Mr Fisher, who died in 2009.

It will be held at St Matthew’s Church on Tay Street on Satur­day Oc­to­ber 20 at 7pm.

All are wel­come. PIPE BAND

Perth and Dis­trict Pipe Band will hold its an­nual gen­eral meet­ing on Oc­to­ber 25.

It will take place at Ca­pa­bil­ity Scot­land, Isla Road.

It will start at 7pm.

CHAR­ITY

The an­nual sale of char­ity Christ­mas cards at AK Bell Li­brary opens later this month.

The sale will run from Satur­day Oc­to­ber 27 un­til late De­cem­ber.

Money raised will go to­wards a num­ber of or­gan­i­sa­tions in Perth and Kin­ross Coun­cil.

COF­FEE MORN­ING Perthshire Aban­doned Dogs So­ci­ety will host a cof­fee morn­ing at Burnside Hall, Scone, on Satur­day Novem­ber 17 at 10am.
