Enforcement action to be taken against display at Perth salon
Council bosses are preparing to take action against a Perth tanning salon over its “sexualised” window display.
Lib Dem councillor Pete Barrett spoke out earlier this year against Sun Shack’s colourful image of a woman in a bikini.
He said because the company had not submitted detailed planning applications before a six-month deadline, enforcement action would be taken to have the display removed.
“It is highly unlikely that such tacky images of a woman in sexualised poses on full height windows would be granted planning consent,” he said.
The company, which has similar displays at other branches throughout Scotland, has declined to comment.
