De­lays warn­ing with road­works planned for re­pairs to A9 bridges

Com­muters will face more de­lays later this month as two bridges on the A9 are re­paired.

The project in­volves es­sen­tial main­te­nance of the cross­ings over the Stir­ling to Perth rail­way line and Allan Wa­ter River near Dun­blane.

Work will start on Mon­day November 19 and is due to go on un­til Wed­nes­day December 12, be­fore stop­ping for Christ­mas then restart­ing on Mon­day Jan­uary 14 for an­other three weeks.

A con­traflow traf­fic man­age­ment sys­tem will be in place dur­ing the re­pairs.

Road engi­neers BEAR Scot­land said “mi­nor de­lays” were ex­pected but the work would be fin­ished as quickly as pos­si­ble.
