Ac­tivist in­vestor to miss out on P&G board seat

Proc­ter & Gam­ble has said that ini­tial fig­ures show that share­hold­ers have voted against giv­ing ac­tivist in­vestor Nel­son Peltz a seat on the com­pany’s board, after a long-run­ning proxy bat­tle. Trian, Mr Peltz’s fund man­age­ment busi­ness, said it would chal­lenge the re­sult, call­ing it “too close to call”.
