Saudi Ara­bia fi­nalises £1.6bn war­ship deal

Saudi Ara­bian Mil­i­tary In­dus­tries and Spain’s state-owned ship­builder Na­van­tia have started a joint ven­ture to man­u­fac­ture war­ships in the king­dom. Un­der the deal five ships will be built with a to­tal cost of €1.8bn (£1.6bn). The agree­ment comes amid global out­cry over the mur­der of gov­ern­ment critic Ja­mal Khashoggi.
