Lacklustre summer retail sales dragged on revenues for Superdry, with profits for the year due to be £10m less than expected. The FTSE 250 fashion chain is pinning its hopes on a cold winter to boost sales of jackets and jumpers, which account for 55pc to 60pc of autumn and winter trade. Revenues rose 3.1pc in the six months to Oct 27, as a 2.3pc decline in retail was offset by a 6.9pc rise to £65.4m in online sales and 7.8pc growth to £171.8m in wholesale.
