More than a third of Lon­don homes on the mar­ket have had their ask­ing prices re­duced in the past five months, ac­cord­ing to Zoopla.

The high­est pro­por­tion of dis­counted homes is in Rich­mond, where es­tate agents have brought down the price of 45 per cent of prop­er­ties for sale, by an av­er­age of 6.6 per cent, or £55,658.

Across the mar­ket, the av­er­age re­duc­tion in ask­ing price is 7.2 per cent, or £52,457 less than the ask­ing price in March.
