2. Making the set-piece a trump card

The Daily Telegraph - Rugby World Cup - - Sport Rugby World Cup 2015 -

The set-piece is advantage England, no doubt about it, and they have got to make it pay. The scrum may not have been at its most effective recently but this is the perfect opportunity for them to get an edge and to get momentum. And if they manage to do that it opens up opportunities elsewhere.

Fiji can scrum but they are not a scrummaging side in the way that France or South Africa are.

The same is true of the line-out. Geoff Parling has been brought back in as the line-out organiser. That is his function, his prime responsibility. That is what he offers, so it has to be spot on. Get quick ball off the top from there and away England go.

Or they might choose to drive and maul. We have not seen much of the England maul. Perhaps they have been keeping it back on purpose.

Tonight is the night to put it all out there.
