Sin­clair ar­rested

Trevor Sin­clair, the for­mer Eng­land winger, has been ar­rested on sus­pi­cion of drink-driv­ing, com­mon as­sault and crim­i­nal dam­age. Sin­clair, 44, whose clubs in­cluded Black­pool, West Ham and Manch­ester City, was de­tained af­ter a fe­male pedes­trian was in­volved in a col­li­sion with a car, suf­fer­ing what were said to be mi­nor in­juries, in Lytham, Lancs. In­ter­na­tional, which is owned by bil­lion­aire Vichai Sri­vad­dhanaprabha. The suit, which ac­cuses the duty-free re­tailer of fail­ing to pay that fig­ure to the Thai gov­ern­ment over the op­er­a­tion of the air­port fran­chise it was granted in 2006, was filed in July.
