Ad­kins in Hull talks

Hull City are ready to bring Nigel Ad­kins in from the cold as re­place­ment for Leonid Slut­sky, who was sacked af­ter just six months in charge. Ad­kins has been with­out a job since he parted com­pany with Sh­effield United in May 2016 but he has been in ad­vanced dis­cus­sions with Ehab Al­lam, the Hull vice-chair­man, and an ap­point­ment could be made to­day. Ad­kins, 52, pre­vi­ously man­aged Scun­thorpe, Southamp­ton and Read­ing.
