England international Elliot Daly has agreed a new three-year deal with Saracens. The British and Irish Lions back only arrived at the north London club last summer but will remain even after they were relegated from the Premiership for breaching salary cap regulations. “I feel part of the family,” Daly said.

Netball

Serena Guthrie and Jo Harten are among several highprofile names to rejoin the England programme as head coach Jess Thirlby named her 24-strong squad for the 2020-21 season. Commonwealth gold medallists Geva Mentor, Helen Housby and Chelsea Pitman also return. No fixtures have yet been confirmed.

Katie Boulter flexed her muscles in a dominant win over Emily Arbuthnott at the Progress Tour Women’s Championships. Boulter followed up her opening-day win over Alice Gillan with a 6-1, 6-3 success against Arbuthnott at the all-british behind-closed-doors tournament in Roehampton, to reach the semi-finals.
