A move to­wards wrap-around and A-line skirts has led to a charm­ing re­vival of that Celt clas­sic, the kilt. Han­nah Wei­land at Shrimps has taken her first steps into ready-to-wear with neat box-pleats (com­plete with pin), while for his first Ver­sus col­lec­tion An­thony Vac­carello em­braced the style’s punk aes­thetic. Sa­man­tha McCoach has taken af­fec­tion for the piece even fur ther, in­spired, sweetly, to star t her Le Kilt line by her grand­mother, who has made tra­di­tional kilts for more than 40 years.
