At Alexandra Hadjikyriacou’s London-based House of Had, innovative patterns are pushing knitting into a high-fashion, high-concept mould. Her a/w15 collection, entitled A Glitch in the System, features her signature graphically patterned knits, all made in a football-outfitters’ factory in her native Cyprus. Marcia Patmos, the woman behind the International Woolmark Prize-winning label M Patmos, worked with a Tibetan village to create yak-wool pieces, from cable knits to tea-cosy hats. And if you feel your knits need a glamorous edge, check out Wool and the Gang’s latest collaboration, this time with the fash pack’s favourite jewellery designer Aurélie Bidermann, for embellished sweaters, scarves and beanies. Dress, £100, and scarf, £204, both House of Had.
