Atkinsons opens its suitably elegant new grooming venue in Mayfair

The Daily Telegraph - Telegraph Magazine - - THE CUT/MEN’S STYLE -

Male grooming might seem like a modern phenomenon, but Atkinsons has been keeping gentlemen in beard pommades and heady colognes since 1799, becoming perfumer to the Court of England in 1826 and serving the like s of Admiral Nels on, Beau Brummell and King George IV. This month the brand returns to Mayfair, via a three-storey town house in the Burlington Arcade designed by interiors supremo Chri stopher Jenner. The handsome space – all marble flooring and gleaming brass – comprises a bar, barber shop and fragrance emporium. 41 Burlington Arcade, London W1.
