Olivia Laing’s Crudo – a febrile book in which Laing takes on the persona of deceased American writer Kathy Acker, and uses the character to comment on the maddening political events of last summer. Totally original and difficult in all the right ways.
Rupaul’s Drag Race. I’ve just caught up with the last few episodes from season 10 of this competition, starring America’s fiercest drag queens. What’s best about the show is the uplifting camaraderie.
My short dungarees. Many haters have said these make me look like a children’s TV presenter. I think they ooze style and fabulosity.
My burgeoning summer cold.
