Olivia Laing’s Crudo – a febrile book in which Laing takes on the per­sona of de­ceased Amer­i­can writer Kathy Acker, and uses the char­ac­ter to com­ment on the mad­den­ing po­lit­i­cal events of last sum­mer. To­tally orig­i­nal and dif­fi­cult in all the right ways.


Rupaul’s Drag Race. I’ve just caught up with the last few episodes from sea­son 10 of this com­pe­ti­tion, star­ring Amer­ica’s fiercest drag queens. What’s best about the show is the up­lift­ing ca­ma­raderie.


My short dun­ga­rees. Many haters have said th­ese make me look like a chil­dren’s TV pre­sen­ter. I think they ooze style and fab­u­los­ity.
