Eddie Howe, the Bournemouth manager, led the praise for Manchester United for the way their security staff dealt with yesterday’s bomb scare. United and Bournemouth’s players were relocated to an executive suite and provided with refreshments by staff at Old Trafford. Some watched football on television. Bournemouth returned to Manchester airport last night to fly home ahead of tomorrow’s rescheduled game. “Manchester United treated us very well,” said Howe. “They put us in a nice area and we were able to relax and see what was going on.”
