Fined £1,000 after I paid TV licence
Six weeks ago I paid £140.50 for my television licence using my credit card.
The transaction was processed three days later and shows on my statement.
Since then I have received two letters from TV Licensing threatening me with a fine of £1,000, as it alleges I still owe the fee.
It said: “Your address has been passed to the London West Enforcement Division.”
I have tried to ring numerous times, but the system seems to be designed for payment, for those who are over the age of 75 who do not have to pay, or those who do not want a TV licence.
